All Appliance Service
Are all your technicians licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes, all of our technicians are fully licensed, bonded, and insured for your peace of mind and protection. Is your trip charge included if I authorize the repair?
Yes, the trip charge is incorporated into the overall repair cost as part of the itemized labor. This charge covers the initial visit, any subsequent trips, and the time spent diagnosing your appliance issue. Our technicians follow standardized labor guidelines, which determine the total repair cost, including the trip charge. While the price may vary based on the appliance type due to the complexity of diagnosis, you'll only pay this charge once. We believe in transparency, so we don't hide our trip charge in inflated labor costs like some companies do.Is my appliance worth repairing?
In most cases, repairing an appliance is more cost-effective and environmentally friendly than replacing it. Disposing of appliances contributes to waste and can release harmful materials into the environment. Additionally, replacement often involves extra costs for delivery and installation. Unlike sales-driven businesses, we prioritize your best interests. Our professionals will provide an honest assessment of whether repair or replacement is more suitable for your situation. If replacement is recommended, we'll gladly assist you in making an informed decision. It's worth noting that older appliances often have longer lifespans post-repair compared to newer models, as modern manufacturing practices have changed. How much will it cost to recharge my refrigerator with Freon?
Refrigerators don't consume refrigerant like cars use oil. If your refrigerator is low on refrigerant, it indicates a leak. Simply adding more refrigerant won't solve the underlying problem. In fact, it's illegal to add refrigerant to a leaking system due to its harmful environmental impact. Moreover, a leak can contaminate your system, potentially leading to compressor failure and costly repairs if left untreated. If your refrigerator isn't cooling properly, the issue likely isn't related to low refrigerant levels. How much will it cost?
We can only provide an accurate repair quote after our technician has inspected and diagnosed your appliance in person. The only cost we can confirm beforehand is the one-time trip charge, which covers transportation and diagnosis. If you know the specific part needing replacement, we can quote its price and ensure our technician brings it along. Additional labor charges are based on our national flat rate 'price guide', which draws from 60 years of industry data. We'll provide you with the labor fee upfront for your approval before commencing work. Please note that we can't warranty work based on third-party diagnoses, and returned parts are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Opened electrical parts are non-returnable.My washer (or dryer) shakes a lot, and I'm worried it's going to shake away from the wall or cause damage to the floor. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Excessive shaking can have several causes. For high-efficiency (HE) washers, it's often due to detergent and dirt accumulation. These washers use less water, making it harder to clean the tub thoroughly. Standard bleach typically doesn't resolve this issue. We recommend using Affresh washer cleaning tablets, which are specifically designed to break down this residue and effectively clean your washer. What are safety must-haves in your home and are they important?
Safety is paramount in any home. Essential safety items include fire extinguishers, gas appliance shut-off valves, up-to-date gas connectors, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors. It's advisable to have gas connectors professionally inspected if you're unsure about their condition. Keep a fire extinguisher in the kitchen at minimum. Each gas appliance should have its own shut-off valve. Install smoke detectors and replace their batteries biannually when changing clocks. Carbon monoxide detectors should be installed as per manufacturer instructions, with Nighthawk™ brand digital LED display models being particularly effective. Place these in sleeping areas, but avoid proximity to stoves, water heaters, and furnaces.Should I repair or replace my malfunctioning appliance?
Older appliances often have better durability and longevity compared to newer models. While modern appliances offer advanced features, they typically require more maintenance and repairs. It's advisable to get a repair estimate before deciding on replacement. A general guideline is to consider replacement if the repair cost exceeds 35% of the total replacement cost, which includes the new appliance, tax, delivery, and removal of the old unit. The spring broke on my oven door. Do I have to get it repaired right away?
It's crucial not to ignore a broken oven door. Unlike furnaces, ovens aren't connected to chimneys for venting combustion gases. A malfunctioning door prevents the oven thermostat from properly regulating temperature, leading to continuous carbon monoxide production. While a broken door may seem minor, it poses a potentially life-threatening hazard and should be addressed immediately. Is it really important to clean the condenser on my refrigerator?
Cleaning your refrigerator's condenser is indeed crucial. Most manufacturers recommend annual cleaning, as specified in the owner's care and use manual. Regular condenser cleaning offers multiple benefits: it reduces electricity consumption, minimizes biological concerns, and helps extend your refrigerator's lifespan and efficiency. We offer a scheduled service program for our customers to ensure this important maintenance task is performed regularly.
